My back is saying OUCH.

Thanks Roberta. It’s my fake mink blanket that I have treasured since about 1998. It is a nice colour and very cosy. I will be as warm as toast tonight 🙂

Here summer is drawing near. It would be nice to have the possibility to move to the opposite emisphere when winter comes like living 6 months in Europe and 6 in Oceania

Numerous Grey Nomads who travel around Australia with caravans move to north Queensland for the winter and then back to Sydney/Melbourne for the summer. Queensland is the warmest place in Australia, does get cold in the winter but not too bad.

Here we’re putting away our warm blankets and woolly sweaters. I actually like cooler weather, so thanks for the reminder! (And I have to admit it doesn’t get all that cold here on Vancouver Island, or really hot in summer.)

Queensland doesn’t usually get extremely cold during winter. Recently we had a shocker of a cold snap which was unusual. A friend of mine even needed to buy an electric blanket.

I use my electric blanket in winter to pre-heat the sheets, but turn it off before going to sleep. Just put it away for the summer. Cold snaps can be hard on plants; hope you get a normal winter. (Normal is getting abnormal, these days.)
