Today I did a quick prune of my potted plants and gave them a good drenching and some nutrients.
On my way to the garden waste bins at the front of the complex I passed an 89 year old neighbour who is often sitting by her door smoking and doing crosswords. She is in the early stages of dementia. I always make time to chat with this lovely lady.
I was wearing shorts and a tee shirt.
The dear lady said to me “I didn’t know you had so much fat around your middle and back”.
Oh dear perhaps I need to prune my midriff, maybe some liposuction…..just joking π.
Seriously I might need to increase my speed and time on my treadmill.
Happy Days. Keep Smilingπ

I do have a treadmill in my compact living area. Because of some health issues I need to be careful. The physiotherapist recommended 10 minutes at a crawl speed, increase if I feel ok. I usually aim at 10 Minutes and walk about 500 meters.
Today I managed 15 minutes and walked 740 metres. ππ
Stay healthy and keep safe .

May we all end up old ladies (not with dementia though) who give no f**ks and speak their mind. π

I didn’t take it to heart what the old lady with dementia said because I am well aware of my midriff flab. I reckon the dear soul wouldn’t remember today what she said.yesterday. My poor mother had chronic dementia, she said things that she would never have said before the dementia got to her. I am 69. When I was 62 I spoke my mind to a family member (daughter ) and said what I believed needed to be said , was then dumped, excommunicated and still am. ….. guess what I don’t regret what I said because it was the truth.

Our society was getting further and further from that sort of truth … maybe now, people, more than before at least, will be able to ‘see’ a whole lot clearly.

Got a treadmill too. This post reminds me that I’d better use it more often…

I don’t use my treadmill as often as I should, perhaps 3-4 times a week.
