Today I made a small batch of Cheese Scones. I call them Kiwi Cheese Scones.
Recipe: 1 cup of Self Raising Flour,
I cup of tasty grated cheese
2/3 cup of milk
Pinch of salt
Pinch of Paprika (optional)
I added a heaped teaspoon of Dijon mustard that I had mixed into the milk.
They would also be nice with chives.
Preheat Oven to 220 degrees Celsius
Mixture all ingredients together, reserve the paprika for later.
The mixture is fairly moist and sticky, no need to knead or roll out.
Spoon onto a greased tray .I did heaped tablespoon lots. Sprinkle with paprika if desired. I chose to sprinkle with more grated cheese.
Bake for 15 – 20 minutes.
ENJOY π.
I love cheese scones. Enjoy yours. π

I like simple, easy recipes like this. I used to make a savoury muffin that was a bit similar. This one has that delicous dijon mustard in it. An excellent addition. Thanks for posting.

Yummy! I enjoy scones. I need to make some soon. They are low in sugar so they work better with my healthy eating.

And the good thing is you know what is in homemade scones, no additives, fillers etc.
