Chakra drawing – Update

Today I am fighting a headache and another episode of vertigo but not as bad as last week.I have been wanting to draw a Chakra picture, managed a practice one today.Drawn free hand, used soft pastels.The body is not really in proportion but I love the 7 colours that I used.He/She is sitting there meditating and thinking self slim.I have ordered a set of Chakra Stencils that I can use when I draw the next one. The stencils will be used for the 7 Chakra characters that will be placed on the colourful dots down the body.I enhanced the above picture but only very slightly. I am happy with it the way it is. It is now looking good on the wall 😀

I will still do another one when the chakra stencils arrive.

  1. Ally,better have yourself checked out regarding that headache and vertigo as a precaution. It probably may not amount to anything but at least, the doctor can prescribe something for those symptoms. Comfort is key especially when you do your painting and sketching.

    1. Hi Josie I was in hospital last week for two days when it was much worse. They said it might be a viral infection in my left ear or a build up of crystals in my ear. I go back to Outpatients next Tuesday to the Vestibular Physiotherapy Department for review.
      I agree with you about comfort being the key when doing art work.
      I am happy with my effort today, now I am resting. I always feel guilty when I waste the day doing nothing.

  4. So sorry to hear about your headache and vertigo. Vertigo is a very unpleasant and disorienting experience. I had it last year and went to the hospital. They gave me Gravol intravenously. My sister takes it whenever she has vertigo. Take care and have a good weekend.

    1. I am sorry to learn you have also experienced vertigo. In hospital they gave me Stemetil fo and Maxalon for nausea. In 2018 when I had an episode of it, it took weeks
      to come right again. Enjoy your weekend.

  6. My vertigo was as a result of turning onto my right side too quickly when I was in bed. I’m sorry that it took weeks for you to feel right again. Thanks, Ally :). It’s cold and snowy outside so I will be staying indoors where it’s nice and warm.

  7. It’s summer time, quite humid and the good thing is we got some rain. People here in Australia would pay big money to see snow. Be comfortable and keep warm.
    I spoke with a pharmacist this morning, unfortunately Australia do not have Gravol.

    1. Thank you. It is a practice one. I did it in soft pastels and might even be able to enhance it using oil pastels. I will also do an extra one. have subscribed to Mangrove Arts 🙂🖼🎨
