I don’t claim to have a green thumb.I have a small area that I can call my garden.
Gardening to me doesn’t need to be perfect. It get me outside and is good therapy, relaxing. π¦πΉπππΏπ»π
I took a couple of photos this morning.
Peace Lily, my one and only indoor plant. My above ground vegetable box. I recently planted Tomato, Silverbeet, Lettuce, Baby Spinach, Snow Pea and Marigold (companion planting). I cover it up at night due to hungry animals.
Just a few new plants and some old ones that sit in front of my veranda .
My view of my little garden from where I sit on my veranda. I hope to add more pots of colour, it’s good for The Soul.
If one has only one indoor plant, one could go further and do far worse than a peace lily. : D … love the ‘veggie box’ : D

I would like more plants indoors but really don’t have the space.
My son gifted me the veggie box way back in 2013, it’s definitely standing the test of time. I will be picking lettuce π₯¬ and spinach today and will also share with the lady that lives in the unit above me. I am looking forward to enjoy tomatoes π .
Have a great day. Cheers from Ally π

They are. Never owned one before. But now I don’t have any cats, I don’t need to worry about what plants I can have or not. But when I was a cat owner, I only accepted flowers in one room the cat would not be left unattended and which I would close off.
I was impressed with my display I had this year. So I hope I get that again next year.

I also like being outside in the garden, Ally. I particularly like to water, I find it very relaxing. Your little patch of garden is lovely. Well done.

Thanks Roberta. There are 28 units here , I notice several of the residents have their daily ritual of watering even though the council have said that we must conserve water due to a shortage…rain is badly needed π§.

We sometimes have water shortages too. Australia and South Africa have a lot in common.

I think you have a green thumb! All your plants look well. The thing I like about gardening is that if give me a quite time to think and daydream!

Thanks Anne. I don’t let it stress me, just enjoy it. Yesterday I had a salad with spinach and lettuce leaves from the veggie box, nice .

Thank you .
The vegetables are growing well, with some TLC, Seasol, Powerfeed and water. I have been enjoying meals of spinach, lettuce and Silverbeet, plus some herbs in pots.π

Maybe you should grow some vegetables and plants in the lawn! You took great pictures, and i bet the ones of lawn gardening are going to be even more impressive!

I live in a unit and don’t have a lawn to use. Also I can only do above ground gardening because of a severe scoliosis of my spine.
