A Picnic At Ally’s Castle

At home keeping safe in isolation. Wishing I could go for a picnic down by the sea or the local park but sadly not allowed.

Fortunately I do have a good supply of frozen food. Into the Airfryer I put in fish and chips. Once cooked I decided to wrap them in gladbake….didn’t have any newspaper.

I then opened the parcel up…..wow it’s even got some lemon in there.

I then needed to find some seagulls that would normally hang around at a picnic. I had to settle for a magpie πŸ¦….

I enjoyed my make believe picnic.

Happy Easter everyone.

      1. I made two small flat bread today to eat with a cup of soup. I used Barley Flour, nice taste and texture. A friend of mine made Hot Cross Cookies today, they looked great, I might motivate myself and make some tomorrow x

      2. I’ve never made hot cross cookies, or buns for that matter. I’ve got plain, self raising, strong white and rye flour in the cupboard because my hubby sometimes makes bread… But no yeast! Do you know how to make sourdough? Or someone said you can use live yoghurt?

      3. I have never made sourdough bread, Google has lots of recipes. I have made Yeast Free Soda Bread, again several recipes on Google also I did a blog a couple of weeks ago on Soda Bread.

    1. Thankyou. I am making the best of it and the best of what I have got. Last May I moved into a Housing Commission Seniors Single Studio. They said ‘make it your home’ and that’s when I named my place Ally’s Castle. I am contented and happy.
      Happy Easter to you πŸ’“.

      1. I like it! Queen Ally? Also a nice ring to it. Contented and happy is a nice place to be. I am also contented and happy. The spring birds are coming back nowβ€”swifts just arrived yesterday! Soon the wrens will return to. So many different birdsongs! Be well, Ally. Looking forward to your new creation!πŸŒˆπŸ¦‹πŸ’“

  2. I love your picnic idea Ally! I think Muffin and I will have to try it out, we even have the gulls outside the window to make it perfect! And I’m sure the chipmunks will show up too.πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ΊπŸŒž
