Bush fires too close to home, am safe as long as I avoid inhaling the smoke due to potential asthma attack.I am mindful of people who have lost loved ones and also their homes during this current state of emergency. I offer prayers ππΌand support to those in need. The sky is shrouded with a thick smoky haze here in Brisbane.
Numerous fires burning in Australia. I read an article yesterday that indicated that the smoke in the sky has traveled from Australia over to New Zealand. We are praying ππΌfor rain and lots of it.
We heard on the news that Sydney has fires close by too.

Unfortunately there is no rain predicted this week. Hot and dry apparently is what we can expect. πππ

Extremely dry in numerous areas. I am compelled to stay at home indoors because of respiratory and heart issues. I have everything here that I need.

Sorry to hear this, Ally.
I ‘ve read the bad news. More than 100 houses are destroyed, and -unfortunately- a few people weren’t able to make it. I, also, watched some videos with the firefighters trying to do their best, and the dangerous conditions, of course. Stay alert, dear, and i really do wish to rain. How much i hate this when it happens !

Thank you for your comments and kind thoughts. I hate when this happens too, I hate it even more when I hear that several fires are the result of arson π

The extremely dry environment is also a contributing factor.

The entire summer of 2017 and 2018 we had heavy duty smoky skies, (thankfully we only got a few whiffs this year) so much so that we eventually relented and brought an air purifier. The difference it made to, at least the air in our house, really surprised us both. If you don’t already have one, I reckon it’s worth the investment, because both here and there, these summer fires aren’t going away.

Thanks so much for your advice. You definitely can relate to what is happening here. I will seriously consider getting one, really bad here today …am dosed up with puffers and pills and definitely staying indoors but it still gets in π. You’re right the summer fires aren’t going away.π.

My goodness… it’s terrifying, but also quite hard for someone like me (in the UK, never experienced anything like it) to fully comprehend the extent of it. Prayers indeed. xx

Wow, the weather seems to be really getting extreme all over. We are still in the fall season here in Canada, but it looks like the middle of winter with lots of snow already. It came really early this year. …. will keep you and your country in prayer.

Thanks you for comments and prayers. I know it’s cold where you are in Canada, the snow would be most well over here. Keep safe and warm π
