Lake Tekapo in the Mackenzie Country of the South Island New Zealand.  This is my special place where my life began in this world. I was Christened  in the little stone church.  When sitting in the church looking towards the alter there is  an enormous window which frames a stunning view of the turquoise lake and the mountains which are often covered with snow.

Many people from all over the world especially from Japan go there to get married.  I had a dream wedding there as well.

The word Tekapo comes from the Maori word Taka, meaning Sleeping Mat, and Po ,which means night.

If you are ever visiting the South Island of New Zealand I would encourage you to visit Lake Tekapo it is a magical peaceful place to be.
