Hope all is well there. Been watching the news about the Bush fires. Its good to see its not all bad

I am close to the bush fires but far enough away to be safe but am affected by the smoke…respiratory condition.
I agree it is good to see it’s not all bad but I am concerned about the money spent on fireworks while others are suffering and desperately in need of assistance.

They do look pretty but I worry when I hear that firefighters are having to crowd fund for their essential equipment .

Pretty much the same here for the search-and-rescue folk who have to risk their lives in the backcountry when some blithering idiot goes for a hike in a bloody snowstorm (only slightly exaggerating) without any survival gear, at all … and then have to fundraise to replace the supplies they used doing so.

Fireworks do provide a splendid display. Some of the New Year fireworks have been cancelled because of the ongoing fires.
